10 Things Probably Inside The Mystery Safe Found At A TTC Bus Shelter Today
This morning, police found an unattended and mysterious safe at a TTC bus shelter in East Toronto; Donlands Avenue to be specific. Police immediately cautioned off the area for safety measures, even going so far as bringing in a nuclear and explosives team to investigate the odd sighting.
According to the CBC, Toronto police have confirmed that the safe is not dangerous. Although, they aren't sure exactly how the box got inside the bus stop, or what it holds, so that got us to thinking here at Narcity Toronto, what exactly could be in the box. From the immortal words of Brad Pitt's character in the 1990s classic-thriller Se7en: WHAT'S IN THE BOX!?
1. The Stanley Cup and World Series rings recently stolen from a Toronto home. Where else, but a safe to put your new championship bling?
2. Pennies. Someone's going to be pretty upset when they realize their lifelong collection of pennies is sitting at a Toronto bus stop.
3.VIP Tickets to OVO Fest. With OVO Fest just around the corner the Drake-led conglomerate decided to promote Toronto's most popular hip hop festival by hiding tickets in fire-proof safes. Get it... because this year's lineup of J. Cole, Big Sean, and, of course, Drake is gonna be fireee.
4. Tim Hortons' new mouth-watering Reese's Donut. With the release of the peanut-butter and chocolate-infused donut a week away, isn't it only right that the police were the first ones to get their hands on the safe.
5. Rob Ford's infamous crack confessional tie. As Ford sold the tie for upwards of $1200 it only make sense to put it in a safe place.
6. A game-used napkin from Phil Kessel's last Toronto hot dog. With Kessel's exit from the Maple Leafs and now-infamous craving for "street meat" known to the public, any of his hot dog refuse are sure to be hot commodities for the everyday memorabilia collector.
7. TTC tokens for life. It only makes sense that the safe would be filled with a life-time supply of TTC tokens seeing as it was at a TTC bus stop.
8. A plush doll of PACHI the Pan Am Games mascot. With Toronto Pan Am 2015 beginning tomorrow, July 10th, why wouldn't one of these toys be in the safe?
9. HOV Lane Mannequins. After one Toronto driver was caught with two mannequins in the passenger seats of his ride, he was fined $85, and seemingly hid the evidence inside a safe.
10. A Fire Mixtape. Safety is always a number-one priority, so I'm glad someone took the right precautions after recording their "next-level" mixtape this week.

In other news, it looks like the "safe-leaving" bandit has hit another TTC bus stop in the GTA. Someone found this toilet at a Mississauga bus stop as well. Seems like an odd and expensive prank to pull, but to each their own!
