15 Ontario high school students had to be rushed to the hospital this morning after their school bus collided with a pickup truck.
The accident happened just before 8:00 am in Innisfil, a small town outside of Barrie. The students were on their way to Holy Trinity Catholic High School. Of the 15 injuries reported by police, three of them were deemed serious.

One of the students was airlifted to a Toronto hospital in serious condition, while the other two students who also suffered serious injuries were taken to a local hospital. Another 12 students were also taken to hospital with minor injuries and to be checked out as a precaution.
Fortunately, Simcoe Police, who are investigating the crash, believe that none of the injuries are life-threatening.

Witnesses who saw the crash say the bus ended up being flipped onto its side. People had to help the students escape through one of the emergency hatches on the vehicle.
It isn't clear yet what exactly caused the crash, but it did take place at an intersection. Police have said that it was very foggy at the time, but they can't confirm if that led to the collision.
