It feels like only a few years ago that we had a fairly stale (ha!) food scene in Winnipeg. It wasn't due to a lack of restaurants but, rather, we just didn't have a place to go when we were overcome by that one, specific craving.
Like, when you know you want something to hit the spot, but your go-to choice won't do it, plus you want something you can share but is still relatively cheap, etc. Food-craving situations are aplenty and, well, let's just say that Winnipeg's selection of restos just didn't seem to cut it a few years back.
