I know you already have your playlist, the stop for snacks is already what you do on your grocery run, and your BFF just broke up with her boyfriend, you guys need this.
Lucky for you, I've found the best road trips to take in Canada. These aren't cross-province but feel free to come visit! I'll provide the blender and tequila, you bring the ice.
Vancouver to Osoyoos
Wine country! The Okanagan has a lot to offer and the 5-8 hour road trip is the perfect amount of time to get you from the hustle and bustle of the city to the interior of BC. Once you get there do a winery crawl, camp, and watch out for the rattlesnakes!
Victoria to Coombs
Bet you thought I'd say Tofino. You already know that surf city is sweet but have you ever tried stopping at Coombs? Located just outside of Parksville, Coombs is a tiny town known for the Old Country Market featuring goats on the roof! Stop by to snap a shot, buy some candied salmon, and maybe some cute ceramic mugs. Coombs has it all!
Calgary to Lake Louise
Lake Louise is THE lake for your next Instagram pic. The 'Gatorade Blue' against your Canadian tuxedo is worth the drive alone. The two-hour trek is just enough time to go through a couple of playlists and a bag of jerky before turning around and coming home.
Brandon to Spruce Woods
Get out and explore! I think anyone can budget an hour of travel each way on the next sunny Sunday to explore the coolest Provincial Parks in Canada. People of Brandon, next time you're thinking about where to go on your day off, consider Spruce Woods where you can pretend to be in the middle of the Sahara (minus the weather) as you trek through the sand dunes.
Winnipeg to Grand Beach
Before you get too excited, no I'm not talking about Miami. The drive up to this fresh water beach is worth it in any season. The beach is located on the historic La Vérendrye trail where you can hike and then cool off with a dip in the summer and cross-country ski while gazing at the marbling ice in the winter.
Regina to Prince Albert National Park
There's nothing quite like highway driving in Saskatchewan. Let the nearly 3-hour drive and the big skies take you from the Province's capital to a National Park where you can camp, play in Waskesiu Lake, go horseback riding and more!

Do you ever want to drop off the grid and be one with nature? Then look no further than the French River. Located almost 4 hours north of Toronto are cabins with no cell service, no internet, and no interruptions. It's just you against the world.

Welcome to Algonquin Park where you can experience the 3 B's: bird-watching, boating, and biking! Take this 4-hour road trip to end up at the rocky ridges and thousands of lakes! Local tip: check out the look-out trail for some the best views Ontario has to offer!
