A Serious Crash In London Involved Several Pedestrians & Many Were Taken To Hospital

Injuries are ranging from minor to life-threatening.

Members of the London Police Service are reporting that there was a serious collision that occurred on Tuesday night in the west end of the city that involved many pedestrians.

At around 6:45 p.m. on November 30, LPS say they responded to a call west of Wonderland Road on Riverside Drive regarding a motor vehicle crash that involved several pedestrians and vehicles.

Multiple pedestrians were taken to the hospital by paramedic services with injuries ranging anywhere from "minor in nature" to life-threatening.

In an updated announcement, LPS report that it is still too early in the ongoing investigation to tell whether or not this was an intentional act.

Wonderland Road through Springbank Drive and Kingsway Avenue was closed as well as Riverside Drive between Braemar Crescent and Warren Road, but officers tweeted Wednesday morning that the roads have since reopened.

Constable Sandasha Bough told Narcity that they couldn't yet confirm the number of people, as police are still waiting to hear back from investigators about all of the details of the incident.

"As of right now I am still waiting on information," Bough said.

A spokesperson for Middlesex-London Paramedic Services told Global News that a total of eight people were reportedly taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries. Three patients are reportedly in "very critical" condition when they were taken to the hospital, one person was reportedly believed to have been treated while at the scene, and then the remaining involved were reported to be in serious condition.
