A Toronto Drunk Driver Was Just Accused Of Hitting 15 Parked Cars & A Home (VIDEO)

The driver is being accused of drinking and driving.

It has been a rough Friday for a few unlucky Toronto Drivers. A 30-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly plowing into 15 parked cars and a house in the city’s Junction Triangle area on Friday afternoon. According to CP24, the man is under suspicion for driving under the influence. However, it is unclear exactly what his charges will be at this time.

According to Toronto Police Services, officers responded to a report of a car colliding with parked vehicles in the area of Perth and Dupont just after 12:00 p.m. on Friday.

The driver is accused of hitting at least 15 cars and a house before finally coming to a stop. Officers noted that a local good samaritan stopped the driver, who had attempted to flee the scene before police arrived.

The driver was later transferred to a nearby police station to be given a breathalyzer test.

Police are reporting that several of the cars that were hit in the incident were “seriously damaged.”

However, this isn't the first case to happen today. A similar drunk driving incident rocked the city’s west end this morning.

According to CBC, a Toronto man was charged with impaired driving after he allegedly crashed his car into a Toronto storefront on Lansdowne avenue early Friday morning.

The driver also attempted to flee the scene. However, officers were able to track him down on foot and place him under arrest.

Both incidents couldn’t have occurred at a more ironic time, as York Regional Police was also hosting its annual festive season RIDE campaign in Vaughn today.

In honour of the event, police released the audio and video of a phone call from York Region resident Kim Rennie who was almost run off the road by a drunk driver back in 2017.

“Kim’s call to 911 led us to laying criminal charges against that driver and, due to her testimony in court, resulted in a conviction for impaired driving,” Deputy Chief Jim MacSween said at the news conference according to Global News.
