This 5.6 km Alberta Hike Will Take You Above The Clouds For A Jaw-dropping Lookout

Started from the bottom, now we're here.😍

Forget flying; this sky-high view is unreal. We are blessed to have so many stunning trails to enjoy so close to home. But if you are up for the challenge, there is one adventure that will reward you with views so gorgeous they will leave you speechless. Together with your BFF, you need to try this 5.6-kilometre Alberta hike that will take you above the clouds to a jaw-dropping lookout.

One hour and 15 minutes outside of Calgary, near Canmore, you can find East End Of Rundle. If you are someone who gets tired after a few steps, this isn't the trek for you!

This path is challenging, with steep elevation and lots of switchbacks. So, you might want to tackle it once you've completed a few of the more straightforward mountain trails in the area first.

That said, East End Of Rundle is worth every step up to the top to see the views. The vistas are so unreal; you might need to pinch yourself to know that you aren't dreaming.

The whole way up, you'll have dazzling views of Bow Valley, Canmore and Goatview Peak in Spray Valley. However, the best sight is found at the top.

Perched on the top of the mountain, you can often see clouds rolling down below your feet. It almost feels like you are flying; the experience is so unreal.

You'll also want to take a seat to enjoy the below views of Whitemans Pond, at the base of Ha Ling Peak. The aerial shot of the stunning turquoise water is just so Instagram worthy.

If you have hiking poles, make sure to bring them. Otherwise, you might need to use your hands to climb up in areas.

The landscape also quickly changes from dense forest to open areas at the top, so multiple layers are a smart idea!

The best time to visit would be from May to October, but you'll want to check the trail conditions before you do.
