Alexis Ren, the queen of Instagram, is now slowing becoming the queen of YouTube too. Earlier today, Alexis uploaded her "Get Ready With Me: Everyday Makeup" video revealing all her go-to makeup trick, and we are living for it.
Her daily makeup routine is quick and simple, so whether you're a makeup pro or just a beginner, you will be able to achieve the look.
Starting with her skincare routine, Alexis uses Raya Gentle Cleansing Gel to cleanse, Witch Hazel to tone, and Raya Seaweed Day Cream mixed with Estée Lauder's DayWear Cream to moisturize.
For her makeup, Alexis starts by taking a small pea size amount of Laura Mercier's Tinted Moisturizer to bronze up the skin for a natural tanned look. For foundation, she applies Josie Maran Vibrancy Argan Oil Foundation with her fingers on places where she likes to have more coverage.
Then she'll take her NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer and conceal her undereyes as well as any blemishes, then using a small fluffy brush to blend out the concealer.
To add some colour to her lips and cheeks, Alexis swears by and I quote, "[her] favourite product in the entire world" Benefit's Benetint Cheek & Lips Stain, applying just a little to the apples of her cheeks and her lips. Then bronzing with Tom Ford's Bronzing Powder and highlighting with Becca's Shimmering Skin Perfector Liquid Highlighter.
Then she primes her lids using Lancôme's La Base Paupières Pro Aquatic in Beige Porcelaine, to get ready for just a bit of shadow. Alexis takes the Maybelline City Mini Eyeshadow Palette in Rooftop Bronzes, and only uses the lightest shade to apply to her brown bone and inner corner of her eyes. From all the time she's spent with various makeup artists, this is one of her favourite tips that she's taken with her. For mascara, she uses Covergirl's Waterproof LashBlast Volume Mascara. Alexis can't emphasize enough how important curled lashes are to her. "I just can't even begin to explain to you how much of a difference it makes in my day when my eyelashes are up," she explains. I feel you girl.
For her eyebrows, Alexis actually use a Benefit product that has been discontinued, which is their Gimme Brow. But not to fear, it's quite simple. It's just a brow gel which she uses to brush her eyebrows up and then shape them just slightly brushing back downwards.
Last but not least, she'll give her lips a little oomph by lighting lining them with a nude liner and finishing off with lip balm.
And that's it! It's a super simple makeup look that will only take you five or 10 minutes, so you can look as fresh and model-ready as Alexis Ren.
