All The Restaurants That Have Failed Health Inspections By The City Of Vancouver In 2018
Vancouver's public health inspectors, also known as environmental health officers, are regularly checking restaurants and food facilities for restaurant and food safety. Every year, according to the Vancouver Coastal Health, they conduct over a whopping 16,000 inspections of food-related establishments, such as restaurants, food facilities and stores. On top of that, the public health inspectors also educate both food handlers and consumers about how to safely handle food practices.

It's public information, which is provided on the Vancouver Coastal Health website, to find out which restaurants have been issued a fine, when it happened and for what specific reason.
Considering how many restaurants are in Vancouver, this list does represent a relatively small portion of Vancouver's food scene, but on the other hand, there are several popular places that you've probably eaten at before that have made the list. You might be pretty surprised to find some of these restaurants on the list, and if you want to check out for which offense and when, you can visit their website.
Before you get super freaked out though, keep in mind though that these infractions can range in severity, and some restaurants only have one minor infraction. Examples of frequent infractions in Vancouver for 2018 are heat/smoke/water damage, lack of hot water, unsanitary conditions, rodent or pest infestations and improper dishwashing and glass washing – definitely not things you want at the restaurant you're dining at.
