Almost 230-lbs Of Drugs Were Seized At Toronto's Pearson Airport

Wow, who does this?

Going through security at the airport is stressful at the best of times. You’re anxious enough already that you won’t find the right gate and end up missing your flight on top of having to have your luggage X-rayed and walking through the metal detector.

So can you imagine how stressful it must be when you’re carrying hundreds of pounds of illegal drugs?

Well someone recently found out exactly what that’s like when they got busted for drugs at Pearson airport in Toronto.

The Canadian Border Services Agency today said that it made what they call a “significant” drug bust at the airport.

Police seized a total of 104 kilograms of drugs, that’s 229.28 pounds worth, which certainly qualifies as “significant” in our books.

100 of those kilograms were meth, the other 4 were heroin.

The drugs were apparently in gym bags that had been packed into 3 separate suitcases.

In case you're wondering that's an average of 66.6 pounds of drugs in each suitcase.

Officers spotted some issues with the three suitcases in question and sent them for a secondary inspection, where the drugs were discovered.

The suitcases were arriving in Canada from a flight in Mexico.

There’s currently no word on any charges being laid in connection to this at the moment.
