Apple Has Now Created A Way To Stop Your iPhone From Slowing Down And It Won't Cost You Anything

iPhone owners rejoice!

iPhone owners rejoice: Apple CEO Tim Cook has finally announced they will stop the intentional slowdowns of old iPhones.

If you're one of the millions that are tired of having your handset's performance become more and more sluggish with every new iOS download, a new update by Apple will allow you to disable the feature, Apple's chief executive has said.

Users of affected handsets will be able to turn off the function that slows down your mobiles as their batteries age, and will be able to use a battery health monitor to keep track of just how worn out their batteries get.

"We're gonna give people the visibility of the health of their battery so its very very transparent, this hasn't been done before," Cook said. "We will tell somebody we're slightly reducing your performance by some amount in order to not have a sudden restart, and if you don't want it you can turn it off."

A beta version of the software is set to be released next month, and will be rolled out to the wider public some time after.

So it's true Apple intentionally slow down old iPhones. Proof: My iPhone 6 was bought 3years ago and recently got really slow. APP 'CPU DasherX' shows iPhone CPU is under clocked running at 600MHz. The tech giant admitted last month that they have used software updates to limit the performance of older iPhones and prevent them from shutting down unexpectedly.  It has apologized and cut the price of battery replacements, but denied that it slows down phones to encourage users to upgrade.
