Aritzia’s Vancouver Warehouse Sale Lines Are So Intense People Are Tweeting Survival Tips
Today is the day we’ve all been waiting for. Vancouver’s 2019 Aritzia Warehouse Sale is here and doors opened at 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning. Naturally, eager Vancouverites started lining up before the sun came up. Narcity spoke to Anna Cordon, Aritzia's Senior Manager for Public Relations who confirmed that Vancouver shoppers started lining up as early as 4:00 a.m. — that's two hours before the sunrise.
Now that people have been unleashed on the clothing racks and bins, chaos has ensued both inside and out. This is not your grandmother's sale shopping, people have already been spotted in the first aid tent at this year's warehouse sale.
On this sunny morning, the massive line stretches all around the seawall outside of the Vancouver Convention Centre. Once they're allowed inside, they go into another lineup before finally getting admitted into the giant warehouse sale. People are not flinching at the sight of the masses. They know what they need to do and they’ve got their game faces on.

One woman took to Twitter to share warehouse sale survival tips with the bargain hunters of Vancouver. She advised snacks for the line, bathroom and water breaks beforehand, 3 coffees, and that the “best shit is in the piles on the floor.”
Narcity employees agree: the best finds are always in the piles of discarded clothes on the floor of the crowded communal change rooms.
Another shopper tweeted a video of the inside writing “Consumer mayhem!” and they are not wrong. We were (obviously) there and the place is absolutely buzzing.
A photo was shared of another shopper down on her knees diligently sifting through a huge pile of clothing to find those sweet sweet deals.
We weren't joking. The best stuff is on the floor.

If you’re considering heading down there today, you absolutely should. The sales are out of control and the energy is palpable. Though, it’s not for the faint of heart. Now you know what you’re about to walk into, or at least the line you’re about to walk into. Worth it? Definitely.
