This Small Town In BC Will Make You Feel Like You're In A Hallmark Holiday Movie

Because they film dozens of them here.

They call Vancouver Hollywood North so it should come as no surprise to Canadians that a ton of Hallmark holiday movies are filmed in the province. Not only do we have a massive film industry, but we have some pretty cute filming locations too that are so idyllic that they're good enough for Hallmark. There's a town just a 45-minute drive from Vancouver where you can wander around and feel like you're actually on the set of your favourite cheesy Christmas movies.

Fort Langley is possibly the cutest town you can drive to from Vancouver.

It's used as a setting for film and television all the time and you can frequently see their iconic buttercream yellow community hall on TV shows like Riverdale.

According to Chatelaine, one location in Fort Langley called Brunner’s Village Square that has a cute heritage building facade has been the scene for over 30 Hallmark movies in the last 15 years.

Plus, According to What's Filming, the movie Coming Home For Christmas was partly filmed inside a $13 million dollar mansion in Langley.

With so many Christmasy and holiday movies filmed in and around Langley, it's practically ground-zero for holiday movie scenes.

Places like Wendel's Bookstore & Cafe and Blacksmith Bakery are serving up delicious eats and have the coziest settings imaginable.

Who wouldn't want to spend an afternoon eating brunch, browsing books and sipping coffee in an adorable town?

Fort Langley makes a great visit year-round, they even have an adorable Cranberry Festival in the fall that's too cute to miss.

However, in the winter and especially when there's snow on the ground, it feels extra magical and just like you're in a Hallmark movie.

Also in Fort Langley is, well, Fort Langley. It's a national historic site where you can step back in time and see what it was like to be a fur trader.

It's really cute to see and you can even rent a tent for a unique glamping experience at the historic fort.

Whether you just pop into town for lunch or you spend the day wandering the Hallmark-perfect streets of the town, a trip to Fort Langley has to be on your B.C. winter bucket list.
