Bruce McArthur Transported To The Hospital After Getting Assaulted In Prison

McArthur was transferred to hospital last week after being assaulted at Millhaven Institution.

Infamous Toronto serial killer Bruce McArthur was transferred to hospital after reportedly being assaulted at Millhaven Institution last Thursday. According to reports by CP24, McArthur, 67, was moved from the maximum security prison in Kingston, Ontario to a nearby hospital on April 11th. Bruce McArthur's assault in prison comes just two months after he was given a life sentence on eight counts of first-degree murder.

The news of McArthur's assault was not lost on Torontonians who offered the killer no sympathy, even going as far as to call the attack a taste of karmic justice. Some Twitter users mocked the former landscaper turned serial killer for finally getting a taste of his own medicine while others simply celebrated the news.

Details regarding the extent of the injuries suffered by McArthur are currently unavailable as no further information has been released about the incident, CP24 reports. At the moment, it is uncertain whether authorities will disclose more details to the public.

McArthur is serving a life sentence. He admitted to murdering eight men, all of whom were linked to Toronto's gay community. McArthur's victims Majeed Kayhan, Soroush Mahmudi, Dean Lisowick, Andrew Kinsman, Kirushna Kanagartnam, Abdulbasir Faizi, and Skandaraj Navaratnam, were killed over the course of seven years, from 2010 to 2017.

A documentary based McArthur aired on CBC back in March. The documentary, which is entitled Village of the Missing, focuses primarily on McArthur’s victims and the devastating effect their disappearance had on to the city’s gay village, which was terrorized for years by the killer.

Back in February, McArthur was cleared of a cold case murder after police investigators reported that the victim had no DNA links to McArthur. Dennis Joseph Colby, 47, was found dead in his apartment on Cosburn Avenue on September 12th, 1995. His official cause of death was slated as “extreme trauma to head.”

McArthur will not be able to apply for parole until he is 91 years old.
