Calgary Has Hired Goats To Help Landscape Their Parks And It's The Cutest Thing Ever

These are definitely the cutest city landscapers you've ever seen.

Whether you're an avid gardener or a high school student who your mom makes come outside and help her out, you're all too familiar with the summer chore that is pulling weeds. Weeds can tear through a garden and bring the aesthetic from 100-0 real quick, not to mention they grow fast as heck so it feels like the job is never done. They're definitely the most annoying part of gardening.

That's why one city in Canada has hired a unique set of landscapers who have weed eating as one of their main skillsets - and it's not your typical municipal landscaper...

Yep, that's right, goats. The city has hired a group of 133 grazing groundskeepers who have made their way here from Kimberly, BC to do the job. They are making their way around city parks as a pilot program to help encourage biodiversity and control invasive plants.

This new program is an excellent alternative to harmful pesticides, and is also just straight up adorable. The public has been absolutely loving the initiative (obviously), and the goats are doing an A+ landscaping job too, so it's a win/win for everybody.

If you want to see the working goats in action, they were most recently spotted at McHugh Bluff Park.
