Camp Fortune Will Be Open For Skiing This Weekend
Bless the snow gods, it's official. Get your skis (and boards) shined up and grab a stick of Juicy Fruit, 'cause the slopes are open for all us snow keeners.
Camp Fortune, which is only a 15 minute drive from downtown Ottawa, is scheduled to be open for pre-season on Saturday and Sunday, November 26-27. Naturally since the snow just fell only one run will be open: Pineault, the hill's main run which is also a green circle. Still earlier than last season (remember we were wearing shorts on Christmas day?).
The hills will be open from 10am - 4pm. Rates for the pre-season for adults are $20 plus tax, $15 plus tax for students and $10 plus tax for kids. Maybe it wouldn't be the best time to bring the kids, though. Expect all the die-hards from Ottawa and Gatineau to be enjoying the fresh powder.
