You Can Get Huge Cotton Candy Cakes Sent Straight To Your Door From The GTA
We’ve got some sweet news for all you cotton candy lovers out there. You don’t have to go all the way to the local fair to get a taste of your favourite fluffy treat anymore. That’s right, you can now get giant cotton candy cakes delivered straight to your door and they’re almost too cute to eat.
Sheri Kelly, owner of local GTA company Sweet Fluffe, crafts these magical cakes right here in Ontario, but you can have them shipped anywhere in Canada or the U.S.
That way, you can spoil someone special who’s far away right now.
And that's something many Ontario residents are currently doing, Kelly tells Narcity.
“Once isolation restrictions were put in place back in March, pretty much all our pending orders were cancelled, as all parties, occasions, and get-togethers were also cancelled, or rather postponed,” Kelly explained via email.
“Business has since picked up as we find that people are sending our cakes to others in isolation or for themselves to have with families cooped up at home.”
The cakes themselves come in all different sizes and flavours and can even be customized with personal messages or images.
And the best part? It’s all edible!
There are tons of cotton candy flavours to choose from like banana, watermelon, pink vanilla, and so many more.
Prices for the cakes vary from roughly $30 to $50, depending on the size, customization, and general order details.
“Each cake can take a different amount of time depending on the number of flavours and writing or design request for the top. Let's just say we don't just whip one up in a few minutes!” Kelly explains.
While adding a custom message to your sweet fluffy dessert is encouraged, there are limits to what you can add, Kelly explains.
“We don't get many weird requests, but one person asked if we would put writing on the cake that would be categorized as 'profanity.' We respectfully declined."
Probably for the best.
But one unique request Kelly says she did fulfill was to send a cake to someone's girlfriend with a Ram on the top to represent the astrological sign of Aries. "They loved it," Kelly says.
So if you know someone with a sweet tooth who could use a little pick-me-up, why not try one of these whimsical cakes.
It’s basically like eating a really pretty cloud.
