Here's How To Get Your COVID-19 Vaccination Record In Ontario

As of September 22, Ontarians are now required to use COVID-19 vaccination records to access various businesses including indoor bars and restaurants, gyms and movie theatres in the province.

Ontarians will need to provide a piece of a photo ID, such as a health card or driver's licence, and a paper or PDF vaccine receipt to prove they're fully vaccinated in order to enter certain higher-risk indoor spaces, events, and non-essential businesses.

Thankfully, you can download your proof of vaccination with just a few taps on your phone. The document can be found on the government's provincial portal. Beginning October 22, this document will be updated to an enhanced vaccine certificate complete with a QR code, according to the government.

How can you download your receipt?

Ontarians can log onto the provincial portal and download or print out their electronic COVID-19 receipt, a process that requires an individual's health card number, date of birth and postal code.

Once signed in, users are granted access to a vaccination receipt section which, when clicked on, tells you the type of vaccine you received and the date it was given.

From there, you can download and print your receipt and store it in your wallet or purse for easy access in case you need it.
