Doug Ford's Cheesecake Video Is Being Compared To His Nephew's Kitchen (PHOTOS)

Were they in the same place?

As if dealing with a pandemic isn't enough, Ontario's premier is also making desserts. Doug Ford's cheesecake video kicked off the May long weekend. However, people noticed some similarities between the kitchen he used and one his nephew had used earlier.

Ford shared his cheesecake recipe in a May 15 tweet. Previously, Michael Ford (who is also a Toronto city councillor) had shared a photo of himself in his kitchen on April 27.

Some eagle-eyed Twitter users pointed out that it appeared both members of the Ford family had been using the same kitchen.

"Either Premier Doug Ford and Toronto councillor Michael Ford have a remarkably similar kitchen, or the rules that Doug makes for Ontarians doesn’t apply to him and his family. (Spoiler: it’s the same kitchen) #DougFraud," wrote @MetroManTO.

That same Twitter user also shared a second set of photos revealing more of the kitchen, showing a double-oven setup with exposed brick beside a back door with a window.

This raised further questions and theories from other users who saw the architectural similarities.

Questions floated as to whether Mike was visiting his uncle or vice versa, or if they had both visited the Ford family home on separate occasions.

"This must be the Ford Family home (Dianne and Doug Sr.'s place)... but still violates social distancing - Doug visiting a home he doesn't live in," wrote @TO_Resident.

"Or Mike is visiting Doug. So confusing to keep track of the lies and double standards," replied @ConcernedPah.

Some users also stated that Michael actually lives with Doug in the same home.

In an email to Narcity, the Premier's office confirmed that the family still owns the home previously lived in by Ford's mother.

Ford had already been under scrutiny for making a trip to his own cottage after telling Ontario residents that they shouldn't be doing the same.

He was also in hot water recently after having his daughters over to his house.
