Doug Ford Has Launched A 'News Service' Paid For By Taxpayers And Here's What They Think About It
While campaigning to become Ontario’s premier Doug Ford had his own ‘news agency’ doing some ‘reporting’ on him.
And now he’s continuing that with the launch of what’s called ‘Ontario News Now,’ a taxpayer funded ‘news service’ actually run by Ford and his PC party.
And Ontarians are super pissed off that this is something they’re paying for.

If you haven’t heard about this you can see and example in the tweet below.
The ‘reporter’ in the clip is actually Doug Ford’s senior communications advisor Lyndsey Vanstone.

As you can see it has the look and feel of an actual newscast but many Ontarians are seeing it as propaganda, something they don’t like that they’re paying for.

Cripes you guys can’t even make well produced fake news content eh pic.twitter.com/NBLmfmm7Nd
I'd prefer to call it "propaganda service" #onpoli
I've seen better from North Korea!
I am so angry I can't make the right words without swearing heavily.
Of course there are some Ford supporters that don't see much of a problem with it.
So what is difference between FordNation & every little ad or video clip Wynne put out from party? I personally have a greater problem with a media source that is clearly supposed to be unbiased being biased than a party promoting what it’s doing, one is transparent one is not
Ah a new news channel, I suppose it is attempting to find an audience for those who feel left out of the Liberal channels like CTV and CBC.
But most people are just pissed off about it.
If the @OntarioPCParty is going to keep referring to me as a taxpayer instead of a citizen, then please stop using my taxpayer dollars to fund the propaganda-like Ontario News Now and start actually governing.
My tax dollars are paying for your Kim-il-sung style crap.
What a terrible mess
So it seems that Ontario News Now is off to a rather bad start for Doug Ford and his party.
