Drake & DJ Khaled Were Chilling & Shooting Hoops In Toronto This Week (VIDEO)
When your city's home to a music mogul like Drake, you often get high-profile guests coming to visit. And that was the case for Toronto as Drizzy was snapped hanging out and shooting hopes with DJ Khaled this week. Drake and DJ Khaled hit up the studio and the basketball court while spending a little time in the 6ix.
On Wednesday, January 22, Khaled shared a video of the CN Tower on his Instagram before posting "another one!" which showed him joking around with his Canadian pal.
According to the clips and their captions, the New Orleans DJ and exec. visited both Drake's house and studio during his brief time in Toronto.
And one video in particular caught the eye. In the footage, the duo appear to be on the OVO basketball court in Drake's house and are matching each other shot for shot.
But, in an unexpected twist, fans are doubting the truth of the video. In particular, they reckon some pretty creative editing has taken place.
The 58-second clip starts with Khaled making an impressive three-point shot before Drake tries to show off a little and make one himself. It was all smiles as, to be frank, each shot made was an easy three-pointer for these NBA "prospects".
But the back-and-forth seemed too good to be true for some viewers and that, combined with the jerky movements, has left fans suspicious that this video may not be all it seems.
In fact, to be blunt, people think the flow of making every bucket smells like BS.
"Yo, no one is really believing that. Editing team did a good number on the 'cut' button," reads one tweet.
Some replies even share videos of both Drake's and DJ Khaled's basketball moments and how amateur-ish the stars have appeared in the past.
The shade is real.
Although, you never know, both stars could have improved a lot since then.
As for the actual main reason the pair got together, well, it seems like we might be expecting a collab from the stars in the not-too-distant future.
At least, that's if images shared by Khaled from Drake's recording studio are anything to go by.
"It’s amazing what you can get done in 24 hours @Drake. I can’t wait to share these moments and real life Story wit you #OVO #WTB FAMILY TING! luv always khaled khaled BTW - NICE STUDIO," reads DJ Khaled's tweet.
We may never know if this video was edited or if they really do know how to make back-to-back-to-back baskets.
What we do know, though, is that they make some damn good music, and we're psyched for the collab.
