If you thought you were going to be getting more Ed Sheeran album releases than ever considering that massive break between Multiply and his latest worldwide success, Divide, unfortunately, you thought very wrong. The Shape Of You singer has recently revealed that his time in the spotlight as a singer/songwriter could be coming to an end extremely soon.
The news comes after he announced his engagement to longtime girlfriend, Cherry Seaborn, he took to Instagram to share an adorable photo of himself and his new fiancé with a heartfelt caption:
The pair have kept an increasingly low profile throughout their relationship, so his reasoning behind his eventual break from music comes as no surprise. The singer told Daily Star that he wouldn't want to be making music or be anywhere near the limelight once he's a father. As he wants to be able to give his future children a somewhat normal life and be a great dad.
@itsedbitchWhile the reasoning is completely understandable and definitely warms your heart, it's no secret that tons of fans are heartbroken considering who knows how quickly the pair could end up having a child. For all we know Divide could be his last album! In the meantime, while we wait for the pair to get hitched, at least we've got 3 albums and some EPs to listen to.
