Alberta's Newest Light Festival Is Happening In Edmonton For The First Time Right Now

The Enjoy Lights Festival Edmonton (ELF) takes place at The Enjoy Centre on Riel Drive and opened its doors for the first time on Saturday, November 21. The celebration will continue until January 5, so you’ve got plenty of time to go check it out.
The enchanted winter wonderland is filled with beautiful lighting displays and interactive installations that will leave you in awe. There is a massive light tunnel, seasonal boozy beverages, lots of local food vendors, and tons of live entertainment.
Made “by Albertans, for Albertans,” according to the festival’s website, “the focus of the Enjoy Light Festival is to give back and support the community that support us!”
For their food vendors, beverage vendors, and supported charities, ELF works with local companies within St. Albert, Edmonton, Sherwood Park, Spruce Grove and surrounding areas.
You can wander through the Enchanted Forest, filled with beautifully decorated twinkling trees as “snow” falls from above.
Then, you can walk through the massive illuminated light tunnel and take beautiful holiday pictures in Comet’s Cove “as meteors fall from the ceiling.”
There are also tons of local food and beverage options including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free options, so there’s something of everyone.
There are four beverage stations around the festival that include warm drinks and boozy seasonal beverages sponsored by Big Rock Brewery.

Tickets are $19.95 and the festival runs from Thursday to Monday weekly from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. until January 5.
