Environment Canada Issued 23 Weather Warnings For Metro Vancouver And Other Parts Of BC

British Columbia is experiencing weather warnings across the province.

Vancouver and other parts of BC have been dealing with a storm that's coming through the region. Environment Canada issued 23 weather warnings across the province earlier this morning due to intense rainfall, wind, and snowfall.

The new weather warnings span from the edge of Vancouver Island across to the eastern side of BC all the way up to northern BC. The Rainfall Warning in Metro Vancouver was issued Tuesday morning at 8:18 AM. The warning includes Coquitlam, Maple Ridge, West Vancouver and North Vancouver.

Even though rain is usually nothing special in Vancouver, the intense amount of rain that's expected to hit Vancouver today is beyond the normal amount. Heavy rain is expected as a Pacific frontal system moves across the South Coast.

Yesterday, we reported that there was a strong wind warning in effect for Vancouver Island that could be potentially damaging. Today, Environment Canada has extended the warning for the Sunshine Coast and other parts of BC.
