Arizona Is Having A Massive German Christmas Market This Winter

We'll take some hot mulled wine to go.

Is it time to put up our Christmas trees yet? It's almost that time and we couldn't be happier. You can celebrate the jolliest season early by going to this massive German-inspired Christmas market in Arizona.

Christkindlmarket is a celebration of the traditional German holiday. This festive market will be held in Frontier Town in Cave Creek, Arizona on December 7 from 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. and on December 8 from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

There will be vendors selling all sorts of traditional goodies like handmade candles, knits, ornaments, and more. We'll probably buy one of everything!

Admission into the market is free, which means you can spend a little more on traditional items, German and Polish food, and Christmas ornaments. We can't decide whether we're more excited about the food or the cute little souvenirs.

As you're walking around the market, you can sip on some festive drinks like hot cocoa, hot apple cider, and even German winter beer. One of each, please. You can even try some traditional fare. Below are some of the yummy treats you can look forward to:

  • bratwurst & weiners
  • German winter beer
  • potato pancakes
  • sauerkraut
  • hot mulled wine
  • German Christmas cookies
  • Lebkuchen (gingerbread inspired cookies)

On both days there will be live entertainment that will include German and American Christmas carols. The market will be decorated with colorful lights and festive decor.

There is plenty of parking for the market around Frontier town, it's also free. If you're just passing through town and heading towards Las Vegas, you should also check out this farm that lets you cuddle alpacas.

The event organizers are very passionate about creating a space for people of Germanic background to celebrate their traditions and cultures.
