Halifax To Be Hit With Insane Snow Storm This Week

Snow day round 3?

A massive wind storm working its way up from New England will be hitting Halifax Tuesday, as it blows over the Bay of Fundy through the Gulf of St. Lawrence, ending Wednesday morning with gusts of up to 120 km/h.

Snow will start blowing into southwestern Nova Scotia on Tuesday afternoon and will continue through the evening, becoming rain in the early hours of the morning.  Up to 20 centimetres of snow are expected, with temperatures reaching as low as -10 Celsius with the intense wind chill.

With all the precipitation, high water levels and flooding during high tide for southwestern sections of the coast are expected.  Nova Scotians are warned to keep an eye on possible flooding.
