Something we're definitely not lacking in in Ottawa is the amount of cafes we have. We are so #blessed when it comes to where we can get an iced coffee, or a regular green tea, or a crazy drink like a triple shot espresso no foam unsweetened with vanilla syrup. Something like that.

We have cafes that sell everything matcha, we have one that resembles the Friends cafe so well, and we also have a dog cafe. What else do we need? Well, that's what I'm here to tell you about my friend.
Aquatopia Conservatory is a indoor water garden, which is also a wedding venue, and a cafe. This indoor water garden is located in Carp, and is filled with an eco-system pond, a rambling stream and a pondless waterfall.
At Aquatopia Conservatory, you can also shop for plants, flowers, and fish for your own home. This tropical paradise is open for all seasons, so you'll be able to enjoy greenery all year round. Did I mention it's enclosed in a glass conservatory? Well, if it couldn't get any better, it just did. This place is absolute feed goals, and you need to make the short trip ASAP.
The cafe is open Tuesday - Saturday, from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm. No matter what the weather, Aquatopia Cafe serves delicious coffee, tea, and savoury and sweet dishes as well. Not only will you feel relaxed AF surrounded by all these plants, but you'll feel full and satisfied.
They serve breakfast up until 11:30 am, and it consists of items like breakfast sandwiches, buttermilk pancakes, pastries, and fruit, yogurt and granola/chia cup. For lunch, they serve salads like caprese and other classic salads, and main dishes are a variety of sandwiches.
If you're not hungry, they have fresh pressed juice as well. And of course, what everyone comes for, is the coffee. They have such a wide variety of drinks to choose from such as coffee, iced coffee, espresso and tea. How do you choose?!
Did I mention they have an onsite cat named Dover? Seriously, this place can't get any better. If you're looking for a new place to step up your Instagram feed, this is it. This hidden gem is exactly what Ottawa was missing, and now we've found it. You can be surrounded by plants all year round, and not even have to take care of them yourself. Score!
