It's Official, Justin Trudeau Is Running Again In Next Year's Election
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has announced that he'll be officially running in next year's federal election. Trudeau made the announcement in Montreal yesterday at a party event for his riding of Papineau.
The next election for Prime Minister is in October 2019, well over a year from now. But Trudeau is prepared to fight for Canadian votes a second time, and has already announced the primary challenges that he'll be addressing if he's reelected.
According to CTV News, some of those challenges include, "protecting Canada's oceans, raising the standard of living for Indigenous Peoples and narrowing the gap between rich and poor."
Trudeau announced the big news on Twitter yesterday saying, "We’ve accomplished a lot since 2015, but there’s still more work to do, together. So today, I’m excited to accept the nomination as the 2019 @liberal_party candidate for Papineau."
Trudeau's announcement comes just hours after his public appearance at Montreal's Pride parade, where he marched front and centre with Queer Eye's Antoni Porowski.

Trudeau took office in 2015, and Canadians seem to be completely divided on his potential reelection. Canadians have taken to Twitter to express their excitement and congratulate the Liberal leader on his announcement. Others, on the other hand, are far from thrilled.
Justin. Please don’t run? I’m begging you. Please pass and move on to other things in life. Please remove yourself from the running. I’m begging you
Justin Trudeau never seems to be at Parliament. Between holidays, Personal days and Gay Pride parades I wonder Who is actually running the country?
@CanadianPM @JustinTrudeau Congratulations on running again in Papineau🌹🇨🇦✌🏽🌈
People are not as stupid as you believe them to be. You did not keep your promises since you were last elected. Canadians are a lot smarter then you have given them credit for. And no one is desperate enough to fall for your fancy AD's that you will break after your elected.
