Toronto police say they have arrested and charged a 29-year-old man accused of breaking into a charity's parking lot over Thanksgiving weekend and stealing several catalytic converters from their trucks.

Police say they arrested the man after executing a search warrant at an Oakville residence on Wednesday and charged him in connection with the thefts at Second Harvest, a charity that rescues food en route to landfills and redistributes it to people in need.

The Competition Bureau says it has reached a settlement with Quebec's real estate industry association to loosen data-sharing restrictions that violated the Competition Act.

The watchdog says the Quebec Professional Association of Real Estate Brokers and its subsidiary, Société Centris, broke abuse of dominance rules by refusing to provide its members with a real estate data feed, while also restricting how such data could be used.
