This Park Near San Antonio Has An Amazing Hidden Waterfall You Need To See

Beautiful views and refreshing waters.

Texas has plenty of wonderful places to go for a hike when the weather gets too hot. What better way to take advantage of this nice May weather than to go hiking where there are nice trails and absolutely extraordinary views? Joshua Springs Park and Preserve in San Antonio has an amazing waterfall that you won't want to pass up seeing.

The 365-acre park has plenty of things to do in and out of the water. The preserve has three bluebird trails, two chimney swift towers, and tons of picnic areas shaded and not. You can also hike to the waterfall and have your picnic next to the refreshing waters.

But the waterfall isn't the only beautiful place in the park. You can canoe through the river and go through amazing walls of trees that will make you feel like you're entering a beautiful green world. The gorgeous spring and the field behind it make it one of the most amazing locations to take your next family portrait. The park is also dog-friendly which means no one will be left out on your trip!

While they do let you fish and roam freely, there is no swimming in the water to make sure it stays clean and pristine. The park is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in winter and from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. in summer. The park is closed on all major holidays. You can also call in advance for hours and to reserve a spot for a party or to just hang out.
