Sure, celebrity couples are cute, but celebrity bromances? Those are a whole different level of adorable. There's something so heartwarming about seeing two of your favourite dudes hanging out and having some quality guy time, like Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon, or John Stamos and Nick Jonas. Look out though boys, there's a new duo on the rise! Canadian icons Justin Bieber and Shawn Mendes have the most adorable Canadian bromance ever. 

For so many years, we've all recognized Justin Bieber as the most famous Canadian singer from this generation. Many of us grew up listening to his music and being obsessed with his signature flippy haircut. Justin hasn't been putting out music as of late so that he can focus on his wife, Hailey Baldwin, and his mental health. During his hiatus from music, another Canadian has stolen Bieber's heartthrob status - Shawn Mendes.

In a photo posted yesterday, Shawn claimed the title Prince of Pop, and you definitely won't hear any arguments coming from us. He not only has the voice, but also the face and personality of an angel to boot!

Of course, when Justin Bieber heard the news, you better believe that he had something to say, in true Canadian fashion, of course:

Justin is clearly poking fun at his and Shawn's Canadian roots and stereotypes, and we're totally here for it. A few months before Justin and Hailey rekindled their flame, rumour had it that Shawn and Hailey were an item, but they denied it relentlessly. 

As much as we wished it was true at the time, we're ultimately glad that Shawn and Hailey are just close friends, and that she and Justin are now happily married. Just a few weeks ago, Shawn liked a photo of Hailey that Justin had posted, and fans freaked out thinking it was something major, but the Biebs simply replied, "their friends relax".

It looks like the Biebers are definitely taking positive steps in their relationship, especially if Justin is able to joke around so casually with someone who was so often linked to his wife in the media! Here's to hoping they have a drama free summer together.
