The Bromance Between Kawhi Leonard And Drake Is So Canadian It Hurts (PHOTOS)

When you’re as much of a fan of the Raptors as Drake is, it’s only natural that he would become close to some of the actual players. When DeMar DeRozan got traded last year for Kawhi Leonard the greatest bromance was born. Pictures have documented their legendary friendship and these Kawhi & Drake photos show just how Canadian their bromance really is.

A lot of people were upset when they found out that DeMar would be leaving the Raptors last year because this meant the end of his friendship with Drake. No one expected that DeMar leaving would bring Canada one of their greatest bromances ever.

The first picture we ever got of Drake and Kawhi was back in December when Drake posted a smouldering photo of the two with just the caption,"🙂." Fans were a little hesitant of the photo because they thought the two didn't seem too thrilled to be having their picture taken. Khawi later confirmed that that was a smoulder. This photo was Drake's way of introducing Khawi into the world of Canadian sports and what has now become an iconic bromance. He even took the time to set the location to Toronto, Canada!

Khawi later posted the picture on his Instagram!

Right after this photo was posted, Drake leisurely posted about Kawhi on his Instagram, even when the two weren't together. Before his show in Amsterdam 3 months ago, Drake decided to Canadian things up a bit with a meme. That's right, he made Kawhi into a meme, he also made sure the player was in his Raptors gear to promote our fave country!

If you missed Kawhi's Game 7 buzzer-beating shot you should probably check it out. It's one of the most beautiful things that has potentially ever happened in Canada. Drake seems to agree. After Kawhi's basket that won the Raptors a ride to the Eastern conference, Drake posted this photo in celebration of the win. The picture shows Kawhi waiting to see if his buzzer-beater shot was going in. It was a nail-biting moment no one will ever forget...including Drake.

In case you have missed how big of a fan Drake is of Kawhi, here's a photo of Drake reacting to this Khawi moment.

Kawhi has also shared some Canadian bromance love with Drake over on his Instagram. It was probably at the most impactful moment ever. After the Raptors won the Eastern conference last week Kawhi took to his Instagram in celebration. He ended the night off by posting a picture with his biggest supporter. They were all smiles in their Raptors gear.

That same night, Drake posted a photo of him in a sweater that read, "KAWHI ME A RIVER." This comes after the criticism he had been getting for being too much of a fan of the Raptors and what some people are calling inappropriate behaviour on the court. Drake used his friend's name to defend himself and celebrate their win at the same time. This is definitely confirmation that Kawhi, at least, doesn't mind Drake's enthusiasm. Honestly, that's all that matters!

The NBA final's starts tormorrow and we're pretty sure Drake will be right alongside us cheering on Kawhi and the rest of the team. Whatever happens in this series, we're pretty sure these two will keep their Canadian bromance alive.
