Lumsden Is Getting An Old School Drive-In Movie Theatre This Spring

Retro movie night is back.

It's been over a decade since Regina's Cinema 6 Drive-In theatre closed down leaving behind the nostalgic feels of old-timey movie experiences forever. Or at least we thought so anyways. It turns out that 2017 is all about bringing retro back. First, it was the re-opening of Fuddruckers and now the town of Lumsden has decided to bring back the drive-in theatre experience we've all been missing.

Moonlight movies will be opening the drive-in theatre at the beginning of May in Lumsden's River Park. The drive-in will play old school movies like Grease and Dirty Dancing as well as new releases. The drive-in will also have a concession stand because what's going to a movie without greasy buttery popcorn to enjoy?

One day after Albertans voted to reject separatism, Prime Minister Mark Carney says he favours pursuing pragmatic "common solutions" with the provinces on issues under federal jurisdiction.

Carney warned today that constitutional change can be a "difficult" and drawn-out process and said disputes in areas like immigration can be resolved without constitutional amendments.

33 military members injured in fire remain in hospital, defence minister says

33 still in hospital after base fire: McGuinty

Defence Minister David McGuinty says 33 members of the Canadian Armed Forces remain in hospital after a deadly fire swept through a training ground at the military base in Wainwright, Alta., on Saturday.

McGuinty was in Wainwright on Monday, where he visited both the base and CAF members who are recovering in a local hospital.
