About the farm
Like any good thing, Pintoâs Farm is family owned and operated, currently being run by the familyâs second generation.
Founded by Manuel and Angel Pinto in May 2011, it was the familyâs dream to break into the hospitality business fueled by their love of animals and nature.
They wanted to create a place where the whole family could have fun and reconnect with nature.
Today, the farm is the perfect place to celebrate a special day, and they even have plans to expand in the coming years with their very own microbrewery.
What kind of animals can you see there?
There are all kinds of critters to see at the sanctuary, some youâll be familiar with, and others youâve never seen before.
At the petting zoo, youâll find friendly pigs and goats just waiting for a handful of grain to snack on. Youâll also see rabbits, chickens, and ponies.
On the farmâs wild side, youâll see the exotic Patagonia mara, which is closely related to the guinea pig, but looks almost like a kangaroo.
Thereâs also the Reeveâs Muntjac Deer native to South Asia, that actually bark like dogs.
What is the paddle tour really like?
The farm feels like a hidden oasis among the noise and crowds of Miami, especially because it is literally on a tiny island surrounded by water.
Once youâve done your rounds and greeted all the animals, you take to the water for a totally different view of the farm.
Cruise your way around the lake via paddle boat and sail beneath dense canopies of trees.
The paddle boats are included in the admission price, and for everyoneâs safety, all paddlers will need to wear life jackets.
