A Midnight Heist Went Down At A Toronto Art Gallery Last Night Like A Netflix Show IRL

The stolen art is reportedly worth over a quarter of a million dollars.

A Toronto gallery was the scene of a midnight heist Monday night and four pieces of art were allegedly stolen.

Toronto Police stated that they received a call at approximately 12:00 a.m. Monday night reporting a break and enter in the Avenue Road and Davenport Road area.

It was reported that three suspects pried the door of the gallery open and, once inside, stole four pieces of art that were on display.

The total estimated value of the stolen art is nearly $266,000, according to CTV News — not quite as much as the $2 million stolen in Netflix's This Is A Robbery: The World's Biggest Art Heist, but significant nonetheless.

The suspects were last seen leaving the gallery and driving northbound in a grey Toyota Sienna minivan with no license plates, according to the police report.
