Another Ted Bundy Docuseries Is Coming But This Time It’s On Amazon Prime Canada
By now, most of the world is familiar with the horrendous and tragic story of the infamous serial killer, Ted Bundy. Throughout the 1970s, Bundy brutally murdered dozens of young women across several states, which he finally confessed to before his execution in 1989. Like many other serial killers, Bundy has been a subject of fascination for people, still generating headlines to this very day, 30 years after his death. Many documentaries and movies about Bundy have been released, and viewers can expect a new one soon. The new Ted Bundy docuseries will include interviews from his longtime girlfriend.
If you've seen any of the Bundy films that have been released, you're probably already informed on not only his horrible crimes but also on his personal life. While he was committing homicide, Bundy also happened to be in a long-term relationship with a woman named Elizabeth Kloepfer, who was totally oblivious to what was happening with her boyfriend.
While many of the Bundy films include Kloepfer in one way or another, the audience has never really gotten a chance to understand what was going on in her life, or her head at the time. In this new docuseries, Kloepfer and her daughter Molly (who was also a big part of Bundy's life) will be speaking out.
The five-part docuseries will be hitting Amazon Prime Canada sometime in 2020. The description of the show reads, "Bundy's crimes from a female perspective -- uncovering the disturbing and profound way in which Bundy's pathological hatred of women collided with the culture wars and feminist movement of the 1970s, culminating in what is perhaps the most infamous true-crime saga of our time."
Most of the other docuseries, like Netflix's Conversations with a Killer, mostly focus on the story from Bundy's perspective, so it will be interesting to see what other people who were so closely involved with him have to share.
The series doesn't yet have a trailer or an official release date, but audiences can expect footage of Bundy as he appeared to the women around him - doing things like riding horses and goofing around with his family and loved ones.
However, the series will also feature gruesome stories from the women who survived his brutal attacks. If you're wanting some more insight from Kloepfer before watching, you'll want to check out her memoir, The Phantom Prince: My Life with Ted Bundy.
