Ford Is Urging Frontline Workers To Just Call Him Up If They Need PPE

"We'll get it over there."

As frontline workers continue to help battle the COVID-19 pandemic, premier Doug Ford is offering a helping hand. In a press conference on Friday afternoon, the leader stated that Ontario's PPE supplies were "available" and that he would get them to anyone in need. All workers have to do is call him up.

When Ford was asked about the problems that some frontline workers had with obtaining PPE, he stated that it was "frustrating."

The premier states that PPE is available across the province and that all frontline workers should be able to have access to this equipment.

In fact, he even admitted that if frontline workers continue to struggle with getting their hands on masks and gloves across the province to just call his office, where he would ensure that the equipment got delivered to them.

"It's so frustrating hearing that the frontline people are having problems getting the PPE. What I recommend, just call. If you got to call, call my office, call anyone and we'll have it over there.""It's unacceptable, everyone should be getting PPE," the premier continued.

However, this isn't the first move that the premier has made to ensure that proper PPE got into the hands of frontline workers.

Last month, pictures were taken of Ford personally loading up his own pickup truck with surgical masks that had been donated to Ontario from Markham business Dental Brands.

He was also photographed making PPE deliveries after Trillium Automobile Dealers donated 32,000 masks to the province.

In fact, Ford has even been lending helping hand to Woodbridge Auto Group, who has now been commissioned to create masks that are similar to the popular N95.

Students across Ontario have also been making PPE for frontline healthcare workers.

However, despite the ongoing efforts, it was reported last week that Sunnybrook Hospital workers were turning to snorkels because the supply of masks is low.
