Ontario Is Going To Be Hit With More Brutal Snowstorms This Month Compared To Last Year

Grab your jackets.

If you were counting on a lovely, calm December this year, you might want to pull that parka out of the back of your closet. After a rough, wintery November, it appears that Ontario weather and much of Canada is in for some equally tumultuous weather patterns this month.

According to The Weather Network, Ontario will see near-normal or slightly above seasonal temperatures this December. However, I wouldn’t get your hopes up for any real warmth, as average temperatures tend to be considerably colder this month than in November.

It is also possible to have high-impact winter weather without it being unseasonably cold, so don’t expect too many clear skies this month.

Weather experts are predicting that we will see more winters storms in December than we did last year thanks to a system of irregular patterns headed our way this month.

So, if you’re looking to get away for the winter, better to leave sooner than later as travel conditions will likely be less than optimal this Christmas season.

On the bright side, the nasty weather does give us a chance of having a White Christmas this year. However, at the moment, it is too early for meteorologists to predict any essential details about December 25.

It is usually the weather on days just before Christmas that determines whether you will actually get snow on the ground for Christmas morning.

The earliest predictions for whether or not we will get that magical moment or not won't be until mid-December.

Ontario hasn’t exactly skated by this winter, with the province already being hit by multiple flurries and ice storms this fall.

A heavy-duty winter storm is also set to hit on December 4, bringing low visibility and offering up a predicted one hour's worth of sunlight in Toronto this Wednesday.

Thankfully, the weather is supposed to clear up for the rest of the week.
