The small town of Simcoe, Ontario, located near Lake Erie, transforms into a festive paradise every year. You can take a walk through parks decked out in tons of colourful lights and installations.
The Simcoe Christmas Panorama features over 60 displays in three festive categories. You can explore installations based on religion, tradition, and fantasy.
Many displays are crafted by volunteers and reminiscent of old-time holiday windows.
The event will open on November 30 and run until January 5. It will kick off with a tree lighting ceremony in Wellington Park, marking the beginning of another season of cheer.
Wander through thousands of glimmering lights or take a horse-drawn trolley ride on select nights for extra holiday magic.
Enjoy some hot apple cider and steaming hot chocolate, as well as delicious apple cider donuts as you explore the exhibits.
Take a walk along the river, shining with hundreds of twinkling lights, and stroll across a dreamy bridge illuminated with festive cheer.
Past displays have included The Nightmare Before Christmas, snowflake covered castles, a giant whale, and a life-sized gingerbread house.
New this year is a Christmas market, where local vendors will be selling all sorts of goodies. The market will take place each weekend from opening day through to December 22.
