People On TikTok Are Shocked After A Vancouver Airport Worker Shares What Happens To Pets

It's heartbreaking. 💔

People on TikTok are horrified after a Vancouver Airport worker posted videos showing where pets are put when they are checked to fly on a plane.

The TikTok account, @djsugue, posted different videos giving a behind-the-scenes look at how the airport works, including the luggage compartment.

The videos show him unloading and loading up checked bags.

Right where all the luggage is though, also happens to be where your furry best friends are put for the trip.

While we're all up in the plane seats with food service and heating, the pups are down below having a pretty bumpy ride.

Although it shows the crates being strapped down, people in the comments were sad to see the animals being left alone with the bags.

In the video, the airport's baggage handler recommends putting some blankets with your dog, so they stay warm. The image of a puppy trying to stay warm on a flight, alone in the checked baggage area, is pretty sad though.

He even shows dogs trying to get out of their cages, adding to the heartbreak a little more.

The comment section is full of shocked people, and lots of crying face emojis.

After people started really getting concerned, one person commented that they work for an airport and make sure all of the pets are safe.

Others joked in the comments that they'd "put one of my siblings under there before I put my dog".

Another user said: "We flew both our dogs when we moved to Canada and they faced their cages to each other."

One woman, called Katey, posted: "And this is why when I move to Toronto from California we will be driving the whole way."
