There Is A Tiki-Themed Bar Hidden Under A Coffee Shop In Phoenix
Summer is almost over, but paradise isn't. Get ready to climb aboard Phoenix's UnderTow a tiki-themed bar with an exotic drink menu and immersive bar experience.
Located literally underground, the UnderTow resides beneath Sip Coffee and Beer Garage in Phoenix, Arizona. This hidden gem can be accessed by entering through Sip Coffee and descending down the staircase in the middle of the room.
There are no signs here, so if you get lost don't hesitate to ask for directions. The space in the bar is limited, with a max seating time of 90 minutes. It's recommended to make reservations online because there is no phone aboard the UnderTow. Walk-ins are totally welcome, but wait times can be long, so plan accordingly.
Nothing is basic here. Upon entering the bar, you can expect "videos on the windows to make it look like you're sailing along and every so often there are storms with lighting and sound effects," according to one TripAdvisor user.
From the unique name and sensational tropical decor, UnderTow's menu is no different. With a large exotic drink menu, guests could feel like they're living their best life in the Caribbean. Drinks start around $10 and go up from there. One of their coolest drinks is Mallory's Treasure, a $35 cocktail served in a treasure chest that emits smoke!
Happy hour is always Monday-Friday 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. with 25% off classic cocktails.
The menu tells a story of its own A chapter of the UnderTow is provided on every menu, with new chapters being added occasionally. Currently, the UnderTow is on chapter 6. You can read along and see what new adventure awaits Captain Mallory.
The UnderTow is open daily with restricted hours and closed on most major holidays. Which makes this an ideal spot for you and your BFF.
Please be advised that UnderTow uses certain effects; strobe lights, smoke, and changes in audio and video that may worsen or trigger certain medical conditions such as claustrophobia and seizures.
