You Can Order A Puppy And Pizza Playdate In Toronto & It’s As Amazing As It Sounds

Seriously, puppies and pizza. What else is there?

Residents looking for some good puppy activities in Toronto are in for a treat. Well, two treats in one, really. On Friday, Aug. 23 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Torontonians will have a chance to play with some adorable pups and also enjoy a large pizza, thanks to the Toronto Humane Society and Spot Dog Walking.

Anyone living in the 6ix who is aching for some quality puppy time (and maybe even looking to adopt one of them) can organize a pizza puppy playdate pretty easily!

The first step is downloading the Spot Dog Walking app (available on iOS and Android). After that, just hit the "book pup playdate" button on the app's home screen (has there ever been a better button in an app?) and set up a location.

After that, puppy enthusiasts just need to show up to enjoy not just a half-hour of quality puppy playtime, but also a free large pizza! Not that anyone would need a pizza to be convinced to play with a bunch of puppies, but hey, it's definitely a nice touch!

Not only will you get to play with some cute puppies and eat pizza, you'll also be helping to raise awareness about the good work the Toronto Humane Society does.

"We're really excited to work with the Toronto Humane Society, not only to let people know about the amazing things that they do, but also bring a little bit of joy to people in the middle of the work day," said Spot CEO John Minchin in a press release.

Spot is doing more than just providing convenience for dog owners. When dog-walking services are booked through the app, ten cents from every ten minutes walked is donated to animal shelters. So far, they've clocked 50,000 walks.

So basically, this is the ultimate feel-good event: you get to play with puppies, eat pizza, and know that you're doing something good for animals in need. What more could anyone want?
