Ripley's Aquarium Is Offering Discounts To Ontario Students Affected By College Strike

A silver lining.

"Learning doesn't have to stop just because your school is closed!" Such reads a current promotion on the Ripley's Aquarium of Canada website, which offers Ontario students affected by the college strike an exclusive deal.

While the strike is still in effect, Ontario college students can get 30% off on tickets to the aquarium during regular operating hours. Only a valid Ontario college student ID is required to avail of this offer, however it cannot be combined with any other promotion.

The offer is also subject to change at any time without notice, as per the company's statement.

Students can enjoy popular attractions such as the shark-infested Dangerous Lagoon, the Canadian Waters gallery, Rainbow Reef, Planet Jellies and Ray Bay. Other attractions like scuba diving with sharks or stingray experiences will cost extra.

Currently, Ontario colleges are entering their fourth week on strike. Negotiations are in their fifth straight day and government officials are hopeful that an agreement can be reached soon, but in the meanwhile, 300,000 students still remain out of school.
