If there's one thing that all Canadians can agree on, it's that we have an incredible community of hockey fans. Whether we're attending tailgate parties, meeting our friends at a sports bar to watch the game, or sporting our favourite player's jersey, we spread the love when it comes to our national sport. And we also love to do so while enjoying great food.
To join in on this community spirit, Safeway, in partnership with the Edmonton Oilers, will be hosting a must-attend, free event for this year's 2019-2020 NHL season! The Safeway Food Experience is open to Oilers fans, hockey fans, and Edmonton residents alike.
This Saturday, November 9, come by the Safeway Oliver Square between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. for a full day of contests, merchandise giveaways, and the chance to win some score-worthy deals through Safeway coupons and hockey-themed games.
Of course, no event is complete without food, so Safeway is also bringing out the Safeway Food Experience for the event — a 53-foot food truck that will be serving up delicious complimentary samples cooked on-site.
