Shawn Mendes Broke Down In Tears At The Last Show Of His Tour (VIDEO)

He played over a hundred shows!

His fans have flocked to arenas for the past year, showing up in the thousands with nothing but love and excitement for the Canadian artist. After wrapping up nine months spent on the road, Shawn Mendes' world tour ending brought him to tears while on stage.

The 21-year-old finished off Shawn Mendes: The Tour in Mexico City after spending three nights in a row sharing love and music with his Mexican fans.

His first concert was on March 7 in Amsterdam and he travelled across Europe until April 19, ending in London.

That was the first of five legs including North America, Asia, Oceania, and Latin America totalling 105 shows across the globe.

Mendes visited his hometown of Toronto on September 6 at the Rogers Centre and visited his other Canadian fans in Ottawa, Montreal, Vancouver, Edmonton, Saskatoon, and Winnipeg as well.

In a video posted by Pop Crave on Twitter, the musician is seen taking a moment to bend over and sob before talking to the audience and thanking his crew.

He said, "I get to come on stage every single night and perform in front of the most incredible people in the world. But it's not only me who comes to the venue every day, who's been away from their families for the entire year to put this show on. I travel with a group of the most caring, most amazing, most talented people."

Mendes continued, "there are so many people behind the scenes that make this show happen every single night and I just want to take a moment to cheer for them and to say thank you to all of them."

Yesterday, Mendes posted a video on Twitter showing his journey through the world tour. It features clips from before and during shows with him narrating the story.

"I often think no amount of sleep can mimic the energy and happiness given to me, by you," he said in a voiceover. "Coast to coast, through 105, not a single time did you forget to show me what it's like to be the luckiest kid on the entire planet."

The 2019 tour was to promote his self-titled album that came out in 2018. The first one was Shawn Mendes World Tour in 2016 for the album, Handwritten. The second one was in 2017 for Illuminate called the Illuminate World Tour.
