A Vancouver Hospital Will Magically Transform With Over 100,000 Lights This Month

The entire city is lighting up!

The most iconic showing of holiday lights in Vancouver is coming back soon and it officially kicks off the start of the most magical season of the year. The St Paul's holiday Lights of Hope will magically illuminate the historic hospital and everyone's invited to the kickoff. On Thursday, November 14 the lights will be officially switched on for the season and they're celebrating with a huge party including fireworks.

You can watch more than 100,000 lights illuminate the night while fireworks pop off and choirs sing Christmas songs. There will also be a ton of food trucks around so you can make a whole night of it and start getting those warm, fuzzy holiday feels.

Brand new this year is a unique "Living Light" display that actually illuminates when people donate to the foundation and starts to dim when donations dwindle. You can pick a donation amount and tap your card to help.

This event has become a classic holiday tradition in Vancouver and the entire city will be lit up in support on November 14. BC Place, Science World and Telus Garden will also be shining brightly that night.

While there are a ton of amazing holiday light displays in the city, this one will make you feel good because you're helping to give back to the community.

The power bill for the entire light display is only $65 per night because they're using at least 60% super-efficient LED bulbs. It's a small price to pay considering how magical it all is.

Walking through the magical tunnel of stars is a must-do for anyone in Vancouver looking to get into the holiday spirit.

If you can't get enough, then you should take a trip out to the Capilano Suspension bridge this season to see the magical canyon lights. There's also Candytown right around the corner that's jam-packed with festive goodness.

If you love holiday lights in Vancouver, then you have to make a stop at St Paul's. Join the lighting ceremony to see it unfold for the first time this season with a huge bang.
