There's One Day Left To Apply To Be A Nurse Or Medic On Survivor

This is what you've been studying for!

Calling all medical professionals. Now is your time to shine on national TV. According to a recent job posting online, the TV show Survivor is hiring a nurse or paramedic. If you like far off places, reality shows, and your medical job, then this may be a dream gig for you. But there is only one day left to apply.

Listen up because you will need to act fast. A job posting that was listed on January 8, 2020, states that the reality TV show Survivor is about to begin filming for another season.

In order to get it off the ground for filming, they need a nurse or paramedic to join the team.

The medical professional will be working with World Extreme Medicine to join the Medical Media Support Team in the South Pacific.

As a paramedic or nurse with the show, your job will be providing medical care for the film crew, which is approximately 250 people and 200 local staff.

Of course, you will also have to step in and provide basic primary care to minor injuries as all hands will be on deck to deal with emergencies when necessary.

Should someone be evacuated to the mainland of New Zealand or Australia, it will be your duty to go along with them.

While it may sound like a dream come true, it is no walk in the park. You will be providing care for anyone at any time which means you are on call 24 hours a day.

But don’t worry, the salary makes up for it as you will be paid US$1,250 per week.

The job will run from March 22, 2020, to about July 2, 2020. The exact end of the contract will be determined at a later date.

Plus, they'll cover your food, flights, and accommodation so we consider that a win.

Altogether, the medical team will be made up of three doctors and five nurses or paramedics.

As a nurse, the job posting states that you will most likely get two days in the clinic, four days on-site, and one day off per week.

On your days off you can do whatever you want. The job posting even says that there is a “good social scene and there will be opportunities for scuba diving/surfing/paddle boarding etc.”

The last day to apply for the job is tomorrow as applications close on January 15, 2020.

According to a Facebook post by World Extreme Medicine, there has been a huge response to this application.

While they may not get back to you directly because of their small admin team, that does not mean they haven’t seen and considered your resume.
