You'll get the chance to walk across a swaying suspension bridge 80-feet above the gorge's rocky floor, overlooking the river and waterfalls that flow below it.
The actual Hurricane Falls that you'll be led to will mesmerize you with its aqua blue water that you might not believe is real.Β
This trail is labeled as a more difficult hike because of all the stairs you'll have to climb and the rocky terrain along the way.Β
It's only about 2-miles round trip, but you'll have to overcome 1,099 stairs throughout your journey β and the payoffs are totally worth the challenge.
You'll not only hit Hurricane Falls on this trail, but you'll also get a few glimpses of Tempesta Falls, too.
You'll need a permit if you want to hike down to the bottom of the gorge though, which are temporarily suspended due to the center being closed on weekends.
While you can't travel down to the gorge floor right now, as you cross the suspension bridge, you'll be able to take all the amazing photos of the falls and hear the zen-inducing sounds of their rushing waters.Β
Even though it'll take some bravery to walk across this huge swaying bridge, some pretty amazing views will be there to cheer you on.
