People In Edmonton Can Adopt A Dog In November & Tevaun Smith Might Pay For It
Anyone who lives in Edmonton and has been thinking about adopting a dog might want to do so in November. That's because Tevaun Smith of the Edmonton Eskimos might pay for the adoption, depending on the results of a raffle.
HART Edmonton made the announcement of the event on their Instagram on October 29. "We are excited to share that all adoptions finalized in the month of November 2019 will be entered into a draw for a chance to have the adoption fee covered by Tevaun Smith," the organization wrote in the caption.
"This amazing Edmonton Eskimos (@officialedmesks) player wants to help a lucky someone find their new family dog and it could be YOU!"
Tevaun Smith is also participating by helping HART to highlight five specific dogs who still need a home.
Smith wrote about the event on his Twitter as well, however, his wording might have been a bit confusing, as it appeared that he would be paying all of the adoption fees for the entire month.
Smith made the announcement on his Twitter on October 29. "To everyone in Edmonton! For the month of November all adoption fees will be covered by me and you’ll have a chance to save one of these dogs at @HARTedmonton," Smith wrote. "If you are interested, take the time and visit the IG page to see which dogs are available. Starting with Victor."
Smith later clarified, "To answer the questions, Your name will be submitted into a raffle for the dogs available and of course go through the adoption process and protocols!"
Anyone living in Edmonton who wants to take part in the raffle (and, of course, add a new furry member to the family) can see the list of dogs waiting to be adopted at HART Edmonton's website.
The Calgary Humane Society is also hosting their own adoption event, where anyone adopting a rabbit can choose their own adoption fees.
For many people, dogs can just make life a little bit better. Even the Ottawa airport has therapy dogs now. Also, Ontarians will now be able to bring their dogs onto restaurant patios.
Edmonton residents should stay tuned to the HART Edmonton Instagram page to see Tevaun hanging out with more adorable pups!
