You Can Become The Next Atlanta Falcons Cheerleader At These Auditions In April

Take a prep class next month to increase your chances.

During any Falcons game, it's hard not to admire Matt Ryan's muscles as he attempts another touchdown pass or Julio Jones's lightning-fast footwork. If you take a glance to the left or right of the field, you'll see a group of ladies working just as hard. The Atlanta Falcons cheerleader auditions are almost upon us, and they're looking for you to join their elite squad.

According to the official website, there's a 2020 open call for dancers with "a dance/cheer background, a positive attitude, a winning smile and dedication to be the best."

Hundreds of women will pack the Georgia International Convention Center on April 26 for preliminary auditions.

The competition will be fierce, but that doesn't mean you can't be part of the lineup. The sole requirements are that you're over 18, be a high school graduate (or GED recipient) and have a part-time or full-time job or be a student.

Get ready for two sets of cuts at the auditions. As trying as that will be in itself, that's only part of the impending challenge.

You also have to shine during a 15-minute interview and dance boot camp before the finals on April 29.

To get ready to face the stark competition, you can take a prep class. These classes run until April 25 for only $45.

The benefit of these classes is that you get a broad overview of the cheerleading program, a Q&A session and the chance to learn some of the dance combinations similar to ones executed at Mercedes Benz Stadium.

On average, NFL cheerleaders make $75 to $150 per game, with an extra $50 an hour for public appearances.

It's time to show up and out in your two-piece leotard and tights so you can secure your spot as leading Falcon lady.
